Privacy
Your information, plainly
This is a neighbourhood campaign, and we want you to know exactly what happens when you use this site. Here is everything we collect, why, the cookies the site uses, and how to opt out or make us delete it. Effective July 2026.
What we collect
- What you type into our forms. Name, email, phone if you give it, your message, and the ways you offer to help, only when you hit send. Our contact form is handled for us by cite-met.com, and a Cloudflare anti-spam check runs so bots cannot flood it.
- Donation records. If you donate, Ontario’s Municipal Elections Act requires us to keep your name and address for contribution records, and contributions over $100 are itemized in the campaign’s public financial statement. That part is the law, not our choice.
- How the site gets used. We use cite-met.com to see how visitors move through the site, which pages get read, and what people find useful. This uses cookies. We look at it to understand what Ward 7 residents care about and serve our audience better, not to build a profile or sell anything. You can opt out anytime, see Cookies and your choices below.
Why we collect it
Three reasons. To get back to you when you reach out or offer to help. To keep the contribution records the Municipal Elections Act requires of every campaign. And to understand how people use the site so we can improve it and serve Ward 7 better. We do not use your information for anything else.
Cookies and your choices
This site uses cite-met.com for analytics, and it sets cookies to measure how the site is used. If you would rather not be counted, open the floating bubble in the bottom corner of any page and opt out. You can also block or clear cookies in your browser settings. Opting out does not affect a message or donation you have already sent.
How long we keep it
For the campaign period plus the financial-filing period required by the Municipal Elections Act. After that, it is deleted.
Never sold, never for ads
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising. Two services help run this site: cite-met.com provides the platform, the analytics, and the contact form, and Cloudflare delivers the pages and runs the anti-spam check. Each handles this data on the campaign’s behalf under its own privacy terms, not for its own marketing. The only outside disclosure is the one election law requires, the itemized contribution list in the public financial statement.
Want out?
Two things you can do. To turn off the analytics cookies, open the floating bubble in the bottom corner of any page. To have us delete what you sent through a form, email sam-hajar@londonward7.ca and ask. We will delete what you submitted, except records the Municipal Elections Act requires us to keep until filing is complete.
